Több helyen olvasom, hogy mivel kamerákhoz optimalizálták, így az íráskor "megengedőbbek" a hibákkal szemben, a lényeg, hogy tartsák a sebességet. Ennyi link megértem, hogy elbizonytalanítja az embert. (pár helyen írják, hogy általános felhasználásra mindegy, sok helyen írják, hogy került... valószínűleg egymást copyzzák, így nem lehet független forrásnak tekinteni ezeket)

You can use WD Purple for such purpose, but do have in mind that it's not recommended because the firmware features of the HDD (such as error correction for instance) are modified in a way to accept larger number of errors in the name of the goal for consistent speeds. In short, this could lead to data corruption after certain amount of time due to the error correction feature of the drive that is designed to record videos with no frame losses.

The idea is that for certain applications like recording surveillance video, it's more important to keep up with the flow rate than to have absolutely every byte on the disk be perfect; a bad spot on one frame is OK, but 5 seconds of lost recording while the drive retries the operation is not. The Streaming Command Set enables applications to tell drive that maintaining the transfer rate is the #1 priority; if a sector read returns an error or a read-after-write verification fails (or just can't be completed in time), the drive is to ignore the error and keep transferring the data anyway:

Nekem szimpla tárolóvinyónak kellene majd egy 4TB-os - még várom, hátha lemegy 1-2ezerrel - amire a purple/redet ajánlottátok, elvileg a red parkol - > kattog amikor "felkel", gondolom. Kikapcsolható, de a purple nem parkol egyáltalán. Mivel nincs tapasztalatom, és az itteni emberek biztos vagyok benne, hogy értenek hozzá, így elhiszem, hogy a purple is ugyanolyan jó. //Viszont azokat is megértem, akik a fenti linkeket olvasva kétkednek.
