  🔧 Disable or Minimize Lap Alerts on Forerunner 255
  Press the top right button to enter the activity screen.
  Select the activity (e.g., Run), then press the bottom left button to access Run Settings.
  Scroll to Laps.
  Tap on Auto Lap.
  Inside Auto Lap settings:
  You’ll see Auto Lap Toggle – this enables or disables lap tracking entirely.
  More importantly, scroll to Alert or Lap Alert Type:
  Choose Vibration Only, Tone Only, or Off (this controls whether a message pops up).
  If available, look for “Show Lap Alert” or “Show Message” and set it to Off.
  This hides the actual lap pop-up screen, while still logging laps.

  🧱 Optional: Customize Data Screens
  If the lap screen is being shown as part of the rotating data fields:
  Go to Activity Settings > Data Screens.
  Look for any screen showing Lap Time, Lap Distance, etc.
  Delete or replace those fields if you don’t want lap info in your activity display.
