"It is not particularly surprising that TSMC's N5 is gaining market share among adopters of leading-edge technologies. Analysts from China Renaissance estimate that
TSMC's N5 features a transistor density of around 170 million transistors per square millimeter (MTr/mm2),
which if accurate, makes it the densest technology available today.
By contrast,Samsung's Foundry's
5LPE can boast with about 125 MTr/mm2 ~130 MTr/mm2,
whereas
Intel's 10 nm features an approximately 100 MTr/mm2 density."

gyorsan csináltam egy gyüjtést - nagyjából így nézhet ki a rangsor:
Samsung’s 8nm 61.2 (MTr/mm²)
TSMC 7nm (HPC) 66.7 (MTr/mm²)
Samsung’s 7nm EUV 95.3 (MTr/mm²)
TSMC’s 7nm (Mobile) 96.5 (MTr/mm²)
INTEL 10nm 100.0 (MTr/mm²)
TSMC’s 7nm+ EUV 115.8 (MTr/mm²) ~N6 is e-körül
Samsung 5LPE 125.0 (MTr/mm²)
TSMC’s 5nm EUV 171.3 (MTr/mm²)
INTEL 7nm 237.0 (MTr/mm²)
TSMC's 3nm 291.2 (MTr/mm²)
vagyis relative az Intel 10nm -e elég versenyképes az új N7 / N6-hoz képest is ..
Mottó: "A verseny jó!"
