New LG CX firmware update out (03.21.09)
Discovered changes by community:
-Raised blacks in Dolby vision/HDR fixed. (Yay! 🥳)
-Apple tv Atmos audio bug fixed.
-Added ability to direct play dual track profile 7 Dolby vision videos.
-Assorted EARC connectivity problems resolved, IE soundbars, Xbox series X.
-Varying reports that VRR gamma shift/flickering has been improved or resolved, while others saying it hasn't. LG advised someone they were aware of this issue a few weeks ago and that a fix should be coming by the end of the month. So if this firmware hasnt addressed it, then hopefully it should be coming soon. (Quote from LG below)
-There are some reports that the new firmware might reduce banding and posterization, especially in near-blacks.

-Home launcher design improvement
-Listen to TV sound on mobile through ThinQ App
-Added numeric keys/color keys to the screen remote according to the development of a new magic remote control
Ongoing issues:
-Apple TV 4k Dolby vision raised blacks are improved in this firmware, but not fully resolved as there's also a raised-black component occurring from the combination of the ATV4k + CX.
-User on AVSforum CX Gaming thread
reported that there are some compatibility issues ongoing between RTX 3xxx series remain that LG and Nvidia are aware of and working towards resolution.
