Igazatok van, félreértettem amit olvastam és régen is volt. kb csak annyi igaz abból amit írtam, hogy a radiátor is kvázi reflexcsőként működik de drágább.

    1. Passive radators need to move at least 2 times and better yet, 3 times the air of the active driver. If you have a 12 inch sub with 20mm of Xmax, you'll need TWO 12" passive radiators with 20mm of Xmax (Xmech etc.) or more to prevent damage.

2 Use two passive radiators and put them opposed or one on each side of the box facing away from each other. This puts them in balance and they won't shake the box like a paint shaker. Be aware tha a driver that has weights on it, say a pound or more stroking 1.5 inches 25 times a second is a jack hammer so using two with them opposing each other is critical.

    3. Acting like a ported box, your active subwoofer willl be unloaded just like a ported box so you'lll need a high pass filter. The roll off is very quick below the tuning of a passive radiator, along the lines of 24dB per octave....be aware of when it's gone, it's gone!

    4. NEVER place a passive radiiator straight up, straight down or at an angle--it must be "on edge". Those things with a stack of weights on them are heavy and gravity will pulll the radiator down. This also creates distortion in the up and down stroke and willl limit the travel in one direction.

    5. Be aware a passive radiator loads the main driver the same way a port does (for the most part) Make sure to reallly secure those weights (I use double nuts and thread locker) because if they fly off, they can go through the passve radiattor cone, the actve driver cone and it changes the tuning to much higher in frequency instantly which can overdrive the subwoofer active cone.
