AMD has supplied us with a document giving information on the improvements that will be implemented over the course of the next months in Catalyst drivers:
- CrossFire X profiles per application will now be in a separate XML file that it will be possible to update independently of the driver itself
- ATI CrossFire X with PowerPlay for the Radeon 5x00s: reduced energy consumption of additional cards
-AMD Dual Graphics: Possibility of combining performances of the IGP of the RS880 with the forthcoming entry level GPUs from the Cedar and Park ranges.
- 3D Stereoscopics: Update of the D3D driver so as to allow third party firms such as IZ3D to use their 3D solution with 120 Hz screens. Support for Bit Cauldron glasses.
- Eyefinity: Bezel Management
- Better GPU acceleration in Windows 7 Video Converter
- Support for DisplayPort Audio (already in the 9.12 hotfix)
- If laptop manufacturers allow it, possibility of installing the Catalysts on a laptop in Vista and 7
- Improvement of 2D performance in Linux

Aki klónozni vagy backup-olni szeretné a merevlemezét az használja az Acronis True Image névre hallgató alkalmazást. Egyszerű és ez a Norton Ghost-tal ellentétben ez tényleg működik. Klónozás után vígan indul a mindkét HDD-ről az XP, igaz szektorról-szektorra másol tehát eléggé lassú. 140GB körülbelül 3 óra. Ráadásul a Western Digital jóvoltából tök ingyen használhatjuk a programot.

"Intel announced its latest wave of CPU and chipsets today, so it's hardly surprising that AMD has also chimed in with a few details about the hardware it plans to release in early 2010.
Among the entries in its lineup is the X2 555 Black Edition CPU; AMD says it will be the company's "fastest-ever dual-core CPU," and if the company's naming history continues to be a guide, it will be unlocked and ready for overclocking. The Athlon II family will see three new processors: the quad-core 635, the triple-core 440, and the dual-core 255.
Also planned are further entries in the 5000-series line of DirectX 11–ready graphics cards, at "new and more affordable price points," according to press information. As AMD's 5700 and 5800 graphics cards, as well as the 5970 X2 are all higher-end offerings, this could be good news for people looking for midrage- or budget-oriented discrete graphics.
Following the first CPU and GPU introductions, AMD plans to roll out what it calls "the fastest desktop IGP platform" with its 800-series chipsets.
AMD has not yet provided specific dates for these releases, but hints that they're likely to start appearing sometime in late January."
