  Telán ez segít a jó magyar definíció megtalálásában, bár szerintem semmi gáz a ''machiavellizmus''sal. , mindenki tudja mit jelent, talán egyszer valaki leül nyelvet újítani.
  
  
  A machiavellizmus négy ismérve (Christie & Geis;1970)
  
  One with a high Machiavellian orientation:
  1. would not be concerned with conventional morality;
  2. would conduct oneself emotionally detached from others with the view that personal involvement would limit the ability of one to treat people as objects;
  3. would be concerned primarily with ends rather than means—manipulating others would be a prerequisite for achieving goals; and,
  4. would be in full control of faculties, able to assess rationally one’s relationship to the psychological environment—neither pathologically disturbed no possessing a psychosis or neurosis. (p. 312)
