Ichiro Yoda: From Japan, Project I Will Run

Sources in Europe are reporting that the Kawasaki factory have cut their ties with team boss Harald Eckl, moving the management of the MotoGP programme back to their homeland, Japan.

Word is that the team will now be run directly from the land of the rising sun by Ichiro Yoda, who was the team's technical director during 2005 and 2006.

Yoda was a revered engineer with Yamaha for more than 20 years -- before defecting to Kawasaki -- and was project leader during the early development of the YZR-M1 MotoGP prototype working closely with Valentino Rossi and Jeremy Burgess.

Harald Eckl is now being linked with the Ilmor factory where he is reportedly about to become team manager overseeing the introduction of the X3 onto the grids of the world as of next season.

There has been no official release from either Kawasaki or Ilmor to confirm this news. More if we receive it.
