    Two weeks ago in Freiburg, on the evening before they picked up their first away win of the season, Borussia watched Augsburg´s Bundesliga match against Hamburg at their team hotel. What Jürgen Klopp saw was a hard-fighting Augsburg side. "We know what to expect," said the BVB coach two weeks later. "We are going there with respect."

    By the way, the circumstances ahead of Saturday´s match are the same as two weeks ago against Freiburg. In that week, BVB also played Real Madrid before taking on a less prominent side away from home. Speaking of Real Madrid, earlier this week Jürgen Klopp was asked this question: "How comes that BVB top their Champions League group but are only fifth in the Bundesliga?" His response was that it´s a sign of the strength of the Bundesliga.

    The target for Saturday is clear. "We are on track - and want to turn in results." First against Augsburg, then against Fürth, Mainz and Düsseldorf. Borussia want to and need to pick up points to stay at the top end of the table.
