Introducing Dark Web Monitoring
We’ve teamed up with UK-based Crossword Cybersecurity to integrate advanced credential checking of databases of known leaked usernames and passwords into Sticky Password - aka Dark Web Monitoring!
In our new new Security Dashboard, you’ll find Security Insights that shows the level of danger your passwords may be in: from weak passwords you’ve created, to passwords you reuse on multiple accounts, to those exposed in the many data breaches and now being bought and sold (and used and abused) on the dark web!
The new Sticky Password Dark Web Monitoring service will be launched soon, and we’d like you to join in the Beta testing. Here’s all you need to do to check it out:
1) Download the new build - Windows or Mac
2) Go to the new Security Dashboard tab
3) Turn on Dark Web Monitoring by selecting ‘Automatic’ or ‘Manual’ mode a) Automatic mode checks your entire database of passwords and logins once a day
b) Manual mode allows you to decide how often you would like to check your database
c) Note that when Dark Web Monitoring is turned on, you’ll find a new [ Check now ] button in each of your Web Accounts and App Accounts that lets you check just that account
(The Dark Web Monitoring feature can be turned off by selecting ‘Off’)
4) Provide feedback by replying to this email, or sending an email to betatest@stickypassword.com
For you curious types - and we hope you all fall into this category - with Sticky Password’s Dark Web Monitoring service, all checking of customer passwords takes place securely on the user’s device. Your passwords are never sent anywhere, and we still don’t know them!
Thank you for your help!
