Role purpose:
This colleague needs to have strong understanding over UNIX systems and network devices. He or she needs to operate, maintain and configure devices and systems to ensure that our environment is always up and working properly. He or she will need to be thorough, analytical and organized, able to conduct a detailed analysis of each problem being reported, as well as proactive enough to take on and successfully drive resolution.
What you will do:
• Maintaining and configuring UNIX, mostly Debian Linux based operating systems
• Maintaining and configuring different network devices (firewalls, switches, routers)
• Hardening operating system (SELinux preferred)
• Deploying new systems in our environment
• Proactively assess, notify, report and escalate identified threats before they are being exploited
• Maintain and develop operational documentation related to the systems used
• Function as a technical process owner
• Act as a technical lead of the managed technologies
Requirements:
• University / College degree in IT or corresponsive experience
• Fluency in English is a must
• Min. 3 years of work experience in maintaining UNIX systems
• Knowledge in Linux, SELinux, Radius
• Fresh graduates with IT security degree are also welcome
• Industry recognized certification or proven job training is a huge advantage
