LRDIMM (Load Reduced Dual-inline Memory Module) is designed with a buffer chip to replace the register to help minimize loading, it can increase overall server system memory capacity and speed. It is pin-compatible with existing DDR3 DIMM sockets and LRDIMM is JEDEC standard.
