Egy több oldalas német topic foglalkozik a témával, hogy a 40 gigás változatot beszünteti a Kingston, egyikőjük be is idézett egy hivatalos levelet:
...Please note that the 40GB SSD of the V Series will be discontinued by the end of 2009 due to lack of components required for its manufacture.
The 64GB and the 128GB SSDs will remain in production for the time being as their manufacture is not affected by the shortage.
As far as TRIM support is concerned, I regret that we have no information about this matter at this point...
