What advancements in technology do you expect to see over the next 5 years?

Wide range of integrated switching power supplies (less external component). More resolution of high speed ADC-s and DAC-s. 100-200A power Mosfets. Higher speed and more peripherals on the ARM Cortex M3 range microcontrollers. ARM A15 in servers.

What changes do you expect to see in your industry over the next 5 years?

Chinese semiconductor manufacturers start to sell in EMEA/USA. They will have worse characteristics, and documentation, but much lower price. At some point, suppliers start to sell them in small quantities. Industry-wide crisis can be the result of this.

What technological advances in semiconductors are you most interested in or impressed by?

The level of integration of the components are really impressive. I expect to have DSP-s (and microcontrollers) with built in high speed (usable bit number) ADC-s and DAC-s instrumental amplifier-like inputs, high power PWM outputs, with integrated power supply (eg.connect an inductor between theese two pins) in a few years.
